![]() ![]() ![]() If you haven’t had enough of the silly and insane action in this game, the Corporate Warfare pack will be available on 360 and PS3 on May 28 for 560 Microsoft Points or $7.00. “Defies description” would seem to be a good phrase for Saints Row 2, a game that famously features a mission where you spray feces onto people and buildings in the middle of a bustling metropolis. That means you’ll be getting things like bandanas you can wear on your face (apparently an oft-requested item, and a truly vital accessory for any virtual gangbanger), increased difficulty, “surprise ninja attacks,” what Volition is calling “the best co-op mission yet developed” and “a conclusion that defies description.” We’ve gone overboard with community requests in this package.” Season Pass includes two mission add-on packs and the. The DLC pack contains everything you’d expect in terms of new weapons/vehicles/clothing/hairstyles/etc, but, says Torbit, “there is a hidden theme that lurks beneath the surface of the Corporate Warfare pack that bears mentioning: This DLC is for SR2 fans. Get the best Saints Row IV has to offer (dont tell the other packs we said that). Sounds a lot like the last DLC pack, Ultor Exposed, which some complained was too short and of little substance, but Volition producer Jim Torbit says Corporate Warfare does things “in a way we think you’ll enjoy.” If you still haven’t had enough of throwing old ladies off of rooftops and riding shotgun alongside real-life porn stars, THQ has announced that Saints Row 2 is getting a second DLC pack dubbed Corporate Warfare.Ĭorporate Warfare features a new mission arc that centers on the conflict between the heroic Saints crew and the dastardly Ultor Corporation. ![]() ![]() ![]() Maca has shown to provide sustained energy throughout the day without the jittery crash of caffeine.
![]() ![]() When these problems clear up, it'd be hard not to recommend Rainbow Six Siege on freshness alone. (I've heard anecdotes that PlayStation 4 players have it much worse.) I had comparatively few problems on my Xbox One, but I was still dropped from around a dozen games. Throughout the game's open beta weekend and well into its launch on Monday, Rainbow Six Siege has been, at best, occasionally functional. But I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the game's pernicious connectivity problems. Siege is unlike anything else in the mainstream multiplayer shooter genre. When your breaching gal goes down, you're not only down a gun, but their eyes, ears, and the potential for a surprise assault. It's this deeply cooperative play that also makes you feel the loss of any one teammate. ![]() The walls have eyes, but so does your team and you'll need them to live. Voice communication with teammates, coordinating strikes on multiple fronts, or rapidly adjusting defenses is critical. ![]() With nearly every action your risk of death increases, so the game wants you to be sure that you've thought it out. And, because death means that you're out for the round, mistakes are brutally punished and consequential.Īll this is in service to Siege's rare breed of tactical precision. These abilities and the operators that dispense them create an omnipresent feeling of brinksmanship. Another can fortify with a stationary machine gun, a device able to shut down almost any offense with little effort. One can launch one projectile that will burrow into any wall and cluster bomb anyone unlucky enough to be on the other side. As you play and progress, you'll be able to unlock new characters, called "Operators," with disturbingly potent abilities. It's impossible to overstate just how pervasive fear is in Siege. When the enemy can fire through walls and kill you from anywhere, it pays to be paranoid. To that, Siege adds an elegant dance of constant doorway-and-room checking that punctuates the game's sporadic firefights. The Rainbow Six series has always been tactical, driven by delicate plans and surgical strikes. Previous Rainbow Six games were similar (Tom Clancy's gaming brand is pretty consistent as far as morbidity is concerned), but Siege mixes in so many unusual ways to attack through walls and around corners that make vulnerability an overarching theme. Like Dark Souls and other hyper-lethal games, Rainbow Six Siege encourages an extreme level of caution at all times. In the heat of an assault, this leads to a series of gameplay beats orchestrated by fear. Death and fear is a constant for both sides, and the fact that there are no second lives or chances – unlike the overwhelming majority of online shooters – brings your own mortality to the forefront. Even if the counter-terrorists manage to find their target during their reconnaissance phase, the defenders could adjust their fortifications and fan out to prepare ambushes. On the flip side, defenders are always entering a relatively unknown area. But make no mistake: something is always coming for you. Even the best reinforcements can be breached, if not with basic gunfire and brute force, then with thermite or specialized missiles. Defenders, holed up and comparatively secure as they are, never quite know when or where or how they'll be hit. Gameplay in Rainbow Six Siege strikes a special balance between the two sides. ![]() ![]() ![]() Instead of the blue background, it was pitch-black. For example, Classic Freddy would appear with "Back to basics!" above him as you waited for the game to load. It has the model of a random character and some text to go with it. I selected my two parties and started the game.Įvery time you do anything major, such as change characters or enter a new location, a loading screen appears. But since this was a new update, I just went with it. Chipper, Spring Bonnie, and Coffee were extremely hard to get. Ugh! I still had my own profile, but I lost my characters! I was very upset, considering some characters like Mr. Which was all empty, except for the eight characters you start out with. I selected my profile and went to the character selection screen. I was prepping myself for some jumpscares, FNaF's chief way of scaring the player. And instead of the bright sky background, it was a dark, stormy, raincloud background. The slew of characters that then rose out of the title had fearful expressions, far from the happy-go-lucky faces they usually had. The title slid across the screen much slower than it usually did, and it was in a different, creepy font. After around eight minutes, my screen went black as the game started. ![]() It was taking a long time for the game to start up. This was pretty weird, but as Update 2 ended on a dark note, this wasn't very surprising. When the desktop came up, I saw the FNaF World icon, but instead of the titular character's innocent and happy face, he looked sad and grimaced. Ughhhhh! My computer was crappy, but it didn't usually do this. I waited anxiously as Update 0 slowly but surely downloaded itself onto my computer. I was very excited! Scott must have added some really good stuff this time. It was much bigger than the previous updates. But with Five Nights at Freddy's, you never know, so I didn't expect anything suspicious. ![]() I examined it and it said it was Update 0, which was pretty weird, considering it should have been Update 3 or something. I was browsing GameJolt, looking for some FNaF fangames (I had already played all the good ones), and I saw that FNaF World had updated again! It was under Scott's official, confirmed GameJolt account, of course. But after what happened, what HE did, I can never look at FNaF World, or anything related to Five Nights at Freddy's again. I played it obsessively, going through all nine worlds over and over again, collecting the 48 characters over and over again, and fighting for hours and hours. The cute characters, the bright colors, and the sheer positivity of it all was my drug, it hid the pain in my life. It was panned at the start, but the cool thing was Scott Cawthon (the creator) kept updating it, making it better and better. I was going through a very hard time in my life, but FNaF brought me comfort, especially Five Nights at Freddy's World, or FNaF World for short.įNaF World is a cutesy RPG where you can play as all the characters, or "animatronics", a far spin from the rest of the series. I had all the games 100% completed, and I had tons of merchandise, which I decorated my computer stand with. At first I thought it was just a bunch of overhyped garbage, but when I actually looked into it I was hooked instantly. I have been a fan of the "Five Nights at Freddy's" games since it first came out. ![]() ![]() ![]() Kurn is in fact Worf's younger brother, who applied for service on the Enterprise-D specifically to meet him. ![]() When an enraged Worf demands to know what Kurn is up to, Kurn reveals the truth - he deliberately mocked him in order to see if his reaction would be a righteous Klingon anger, testing whether Word was truly Klingon at heart. He lavishes praise on Worf for ever action he performs, no matter how minor, to such an extent that it is clearly intended as mockery. However, Kurn takes a very different attitude with Worf. Commander Kurn's command style is highly demanding of the crew and extremely brusque - when Riker offers to help Kurn assimilate Starfleet protocols and points out that the ship is not a Klingon, the Klingon offhandedly informs him that had it been one, he would have killed Riker for his offer. PlotlineAs part of the Federation-Klingon officer exchange program which Riker once participated in, a Klingon officer arrives on the Enterprise-D to serve a stint as first officer of the ship. It was really a pivotal moment looking back on how we structured Next Generation." All the Worf stories spring from that moment, and also opened up the whole franchise to the idea that maybe we can do continuing stories. And that's why we eventually came back to 'Reunion' and 'Redemption' and on and on and on. as soon as Worf walks out the door with his dishonour it demands a follow-up. "What that did to the franchise overall was it suddenly said there's a continuing story here. Ron Moore would later remark that this episode marked a fundamental shift in the way Star Trek was made, introducing long-running story arcs that would span episodes and even different spin-off series. Richard James won an Emmy award for best art direction for the design of the Klingon Great Hall and other sets in the episode. It would also lay the first seeds of the Klingon Civil War. It was Tony Todd's first appearance in Trek, and the first appearance of Worf's brother Kurn. The first to feature the Duras family, who would be occasional enemies in both TNG and DS9 and even on into the movie Generations and then Enterprise. So when Duras has a couple of thugs try to murder Kurn, they stab him in the stomach and then just leave him lying there. both Wesley and Data think that it's acceptable to have a little chat whilst the first officer is giving a speech to the bridge crew? Really? Shutting up and listening whilst a senior officer speaks is basic politeness even in Starfleet! I know the intention is to show that the crew is used to a more relaxed atmosphere, but still. Rather, it is governed by the Chancellor. ![]() Kahlest declared that "Mogh was loyal to the Emperor!" What Emperor would that be? We've since discovered in the episode "Rightful Heir" that there is no Emperor in the Klingon Empire, and hasn't been for centuries. It's a minor thing, but Picard orders the ship to head for "the first city of the Klingon Imperial Empire." Isn't "Imperial Empire" rather redundant? it's as if he thinks somebody is watching or something! Who is he translating it for, exactly? Not Worf, not himself. When Picard accepts Worf's offer to become his cha'DIch, Picard accepts by speaking in Klingon, then translates it into English. ![]() ![]() ![]() For the latest features You can also Download Adobe Photoshop CC.
